I was renewing my mortgage after spending 17 years with a single provider. (This institution was unwilling to renew at what I believed to be a competitive rate). For me – and I suspect for others – renewing with a different provider is a difficult process. The market is currently volatile. The products and choices can be complex and confusing. Each institution has its own protocols. And there can be unknown factors – hidden costs, inconveniences related to making payments, etc. My Ratehub agent was Danielle Best. She was excellent. I felt that she was genuinely committed to my best interests. She was transparent and forthright. She was responsive. She was extremely knowledgeable. She was patient. And she stayed with me through the entire process – not just in arranging for the new mortgage but in setting up the payment process with the new institution. Had she not been as helpful, clear, proactive, and informative as she was, I probably would have defaulted to my previous provider (costing me thousands more in interest over five years). I would highly recommend her – especially if you’re feeling anxious or confused by the process of setting up a new agreement. Great service from a lovely person.
